Snake Mini 2.0 — Exterior Design Changes

Following the positive reception of the **Snake Mini Zirconium Edition**, we also identified several areas that could be further improved.

With **Snake Mini 2.0**, the first upgrade begins with the exterior design.

The front and rear plates have both been enlarged and are now integrated into the overall structure. Rather than serving as purely decorative elements, they now perform functional roles and have become essential structural components of the slider.

The grip profile of **Snake Mini 2.0** has also been refined.

Unlike the Snake Mini Zirconium Edition, the 2.0 adopts a **subtle dual-curved profile across both the top and bottom surfaces**. This adjustment creates a more unified overall form, allowing the body to flow together more naturally as a complete design.

Visually, the shape feels more cohesive, while in hand it delivers a smoother, more continuous grip without any sense of separation between different sections of the body.

Snake Mini 2.0 — Structural Changes

Snake Mini 2.0 introduces a major structural upgrade.

This time, the internal construction has been divided into a more modular system, with each individual module designed around a specific functional area.

By separating the structure into dedicated functional components, the overall design becomes easier to tune, maintain, and further develop while giving each part a clearer mechanical purpose.

The rear inner-core fixing block of Snake Mini 2.0 has also been given an additional function.

We added an “Elastic Friction” module, which can effectively compensate for the factory-reserved clearance. Users can also replace the spring inside the Elastic Friction module according to their own preference to adjust the pushing resistance and feel.

The original Snake Mini Zirconium Edition required PTFE tape to compensate for the factory clearance. With the addition of the Elastic Friction module, PTFE tape is no longer a necessary part and instead becomes an optional consumable that can be used or left off depending on personal preference.

The cover screws on Snake Mini 1.0 were relatively short, and high-frequency use could cause them to loosen and potentially fall out.

The previous solution was to apply a small amount of threadlocker to the screws. However, this also made disassembly and reassembly more difficult when needed.

For Snake Mini 2.0, we have increased both the length and size of the screws, allowing them to better resist loosening caused by the repeated high-frequency vibration generated during use.

Many players noticed that when using the **Snake Mini Zirconium Edition**, the bottom fixing block would vibrate along with the pushing motion.

This actually came from player feedback after the first version was released. Some players mentioned that if the vibration feedback from the bottom could be made a little stronger, the overall feel would become much more interesting and subtle.

After trying it myself, I immediately felt that this was a really nice little detail.

So in the next version of Snake Mini—the **Snake Mini Zirconium Edition**—I intentionally strengthened this vibration feedback by reducing the overall size of the bottom fixing block and adjusting the fit and clearance, making the vibration during pushing more noticeable.

**P.S.** On **Snake Mini 2.0**, this vibration feedback will not be as obvious. We increased the size of the bottom fixing block, so this subtle vibration sensation has been reduced.
