Fidget Slider
Natural Jadeite · Tactile Sliding · Two Sound Profiles
WU SHI brings the understated beauty of a traditional jade plaque into an interactive everyday collectible, pairing natural jadeite with a sliding mechanism and interchangeable acoustic feedback.
An Unadorned Surface, a Meaningful Wish
The design draws on the Chinese Wu Shi Pai, a jade plaque traditionally left plain rather than decorated with elaborate carvings.
From Jade Plaque to Fidget Slider
Closed, WU SHI retains the simple appearance of a classic jade plaque. Slide it open to reveal smooth travel and crisp clicking feedback.
Brass tracks carry sound into the jadeite cavity, where it takes on a softer, more lingering resonance. The combination gives the slider a distinctive acoustic character alongside its tactile movement.
Two Interchangeable Sound Profiles
Change the track beads to explore two different styles of feedback:
- Stone Tone — Silicon Nitride & Zirconia: Clear, ringing feedback reminiscent of traditional jade chimes.
- Wood Tone — POM: A warmer, rounded sound reminiscent of a wooden fish percussion instrument.
The included bead options let you switch between these sound profiles to suit your preference.
